SeaGals Water Baby -
Pamela Williams

From the little girl, who diligently tried to help her dad with his “Skeeter fishin’ boat” to the rebellious natured teenager who would swim across a very heavily traveled lake and jump from bridges into the Colorado River below (Lordy, I hope my mother won’t be reading this!), I have always felt most at ease around the water and tend to be drawn to it as well as to the people who love it as much as I do. Perhaps that makes me a “siren of the seas”, though to my knowledge I have never been responsible for sinking any ships (pushing boyfriends into the water, often, but sinking ships, never!) Maybe theres a place for me among the ranks of mermaids. Some of my story may begin to explain why it is not at all unusual to find me at the marina every weekend or somewhere on the Potomac between March and November (weekdays too when I can sneak away from work). I absolutely love working on our 30' Sea Ray (have you seen my great teaks?). When I am not on the water, I am dreaming of it, while serving as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. So you may wonder what brings this girl to Virginia? I was This is my story, and I’m stickin’ to it! when I was a little girl, actually when I was a little baby girl, my father threw me into the lake and I just took off swimming like I belonged there. It is true that I am a water spirit and cannot remember a time when I haven’t loved being in, on, or around the water. actually born in Northern Virginia, but moved to Texas, where we lived just steps from the lake. After going to school in land locked, mid-west states, I just had to get back to the east coast near the water, and what better place is there than Virginia, along the Potomac? I am Lovin’ Life and the Best is yet to come!!!
